Surrounded with the vast nature of the Niseko Mountains facing Mt. Yotei, we produce one of our specialties, Kutchan Jaga (a potato grown in the area). With a characteristically sweet flavor, it receives high acclaim inside and outside Hokkaido. Lake Hangetsu and Kagami Pond show distinctive features during the different seasons, and in winter, the highest quality of silky snow greatly attracts overseas tourists to Kutchan’s ski resorts. |

Kimobetsu is proud of its clear water: it is Hokkaido’s first municipality inscribed in the list of the Homes of Water in Japan. As you can see, Kimobetsu is blessed with rich natural beauty: On one side, the greenery of the mountain landscape is reflected by the magnificent Mt. Yotei, a.k.a. Yezo Fuji, and Mt. Shiribetsu-dake; on the other side, crystal water streams in the Shiribetsu and Kimobetsu Rivers. Please come and find out how relieving the tiny meadow-flowers and the whole area-view are. |
