Notes: JR Hokkaido operates trains through Hokkaido. There are four types of trains; limited express, express, rapid and local trains. For limited express and express trains express changes apply, in addition to fares. Please buy tickets at the automatic ticket vending machines located in all stations and board the train after passing through the ticket gate.

Notes: Destinations and route numbers are displayed on the front of the bus at the top. When a bus has two doors, enter through the rear door and pick up a numbered ticket. Exit through the front door, placing your numbered ticket and fare in the fare compartment next to the driver's seat as you leave. Fares are indicated by ticket numbers on the display at the front of the bus. When the bus approaches your stop, push the buzzer next to or above your seat. The driver will stop at the next stop. A change machine is located at the front of the bus, however it is advisable to have the correct change.
