Rankoshi town

Rankoshi is located at the foot of the majestic Niseko Mountain Range and the Shiribetsu River, the largest river in
southern Hokkaido, which flows into the Sea of japan. It is blessed with 7 hot spring villages, and beautiful nature.
Visitors can enjoy canoeing and fishing on the Shiribetsu River and camping at one of the many campgrounds in the area.
There are shell museum with lots of unusual shellfish from all over the world and small winerice, galleries nestled
in the forest, wood furniture studios and much more where you can spend a pleasant time.

Niseko town

Niseko is well known for its wealth of outdoor activities, skiing snowboarding and various other off piste attractions,
which are plentiful during the colder months and also the rafting and other water based activities on offer during
the warmer months.Over and above outdoor sports related acitivites, farm havesting activities, natural hotsprings and amny more activities allow visitors fully engage with and enjoy the natural attributes of the area.
Autumn is harvest season in Niseko and as well as being a resort Niseko is farming area, colourful displays of orange
pumpkins line the streets and are displayed in front of JR Niseko Railway Station and a variety of different festivals
and events to celebrating the harvest season can be enjoyed. Niseko welcomes many visitors from all over the world every year and boasts a variety of different accomodation styles ranging from bed and breakfast style pensions to
international brand hotels. Trying out the gourmet experiences on offer in Niseko is another 'must' when visiting
Niseko is to sample the wide variety of local foods and locally produced products on offer, a Niseko gourmet experience
will most certainly add another dimension to your visit to Niseko.

Makkari village

 Makkari village is an agricultural area located on the south highland of Mt.Yotei. Spring water which flows from Yotei
quenches the thirsty land, and nurtures the lily bulbs which take over six years to mature. Makkari boasts the largest
harvest of lily bulbs in Japan. Herb pork, beancurd and healthy agricultural foods are produced here. During the summer
blooming lilies color the town, and the Flower Road brings pleasure to visitors.
Throughout the year the area bustles with people who make delicious and beautiful things, and those who come in search
of such beautiful and delicious things.

Rusutsu village

 Rusutsu Village is a hilly area located on the northern foot of Mt.Yotei.
The area offers golf, mountain biking in the summer, and in winter it boasts the longest ski slopes in Hokkaido.
There is always something to do is is also prosperous here, and it is the first to grow red round potatoes, the ingredient
to make starch. Asparegus and Japanese radish production has been the largest in Japan at one point. All of them are
excellent in quality and freshness.

Kimobetsu town

Kimobetsu is a town blessed with abundant quality water form the 41 rivers that flow through the town,
and was the first town in Hokkaido to be chosen as one of the 100 Mizunokyo, water villages of Japan.
Nakayama Pass located at the highest point of national highway route 230;Mt.Yotei, and Mt.Shiribetsu are just a few
of the many beautiful natural attractions of the area. Some of the most beautiful scenery here is the changing seasons,
and sunsets that color the sky. The area is the coldest in Japan during winter, but the drastic difference in temperature
contributes to nurturing delicious agricultural products.

Kyougoku town

Kyougoku is located on the northeastern side of Mt.Yotei. Fukidashi Park is famous for its abundant spring water
(approx. 80,000 tons a day), and is recognized as one of the 100 most delicious springs in Japan.
The Shiribetsu River which runs through the town is said to be the habitat for the rare fish, the Japanese huchen,
which attracts many who love to fish.
Here you can enjoy the changing seasons while you play a round of park golf, camp or soak in the hot springs.

Places of interest & notable sights

Fukisashi Park (walking trails, 33 statues of the Kannon Goddess, playground), Three-yu Park
(camp-site, park-golf course, gateball courts, tennis courts), Kyougoku Onsen, Kawakami Onsen.

Specialties

Potatoes, Meisui coffee (coffee brewed with the famous springwater), coffee jelly, mineral water,
Kyougoku sake brewed using the famous springwater, French fries, confectionery
(Meisui Manju, Meisui Monaka and Imo Fumi), Kofukuno Neko (happy cat), carved wooden figures.

Kutchan town

Kutchan has been an international resort well known for its quality dry powder snow, which is now a world class brand,
attracting skiers from all over the world. Beside the ski resort there are numerous lodging facilities, activity facilities,
restaurants and other facilities that add excitement to the town. Summer activities include rafting down Shiribetsu River,
which was once awarded as the clearest water, and cycling around Mt.Yotei.
Throughout the year you can enjoy the scenery, activities and dining in Kutchan.
