Hokkaido’s renowned wine,awarded the top prize in various competitions
Headquartered in Otaru City, this winery exclusively produces Japanese wines, using grapes
harvested by some 200 contract winegrowers in and outside Hokkaido, mainly in the
Shiribeshi region, including the towns of Yoichi and Niki, and from vineyards under its direct
control, such as the Tsurunuma Winery vineyard. The winery has garnered high praise in
both domestic and international wine competitions, offering an extensive variety of wines.
The Otaru Wine Gallery, a direct sales outlet attached to the head office winemaking facility,
offers a wide variety of wines for purchase. The gallery also provides free and paid tastings,
and winery tours, where wine professionals assist visitors in selecting the perfect bottle.
