Western cuisine unique to Otaru
Otaru, a city rich in history and enveloped by nature, offers a treasure trove of delicious
ingredients. Mangiare Takinami, a Western-style restaurant, was opened in January 1995
in Otaru, where the chef was born and raised. Retaining elements of a traditional stone
warehouse, the interior of the restaurant allows diners to feel the history of Otaru.
By sourcing fresh seafood from local markets, the chef strives to provide a Western culinary
experience that can only be found in Otaru.
