Nothing added, nothing removed: Pursuing the most natural winemaking
Domaine ICHI is a newly established winery of Very Berry Farm & Winery Niki, the first
winery in Japan to achieve organic certification. The origin of the name “ICHI” stems from the
practice of exclusively assigning this moniker to wines of satisfactory quality.
This naming convention serves the dual purpose of reflecting the name of the representative
and organic farming advocate, Ichiro Ueda, and incorporating a play on the word “Yoichi” to
signify the location. Adhering to the motto of “nothing added, nothing removed,” the winery
is dedicated to crafting wines in the most natural way possible friendly to both people and the
environment. Enjoy a glass that truly captures the essence of grapes, ideally accompanied
by a meal.
